New Zealand Paua Shell Tiki and Paua Gem Christmas Decorations - Boxed Set of 3.

This beautiful set of 3 mixed paua decorations would make a fabulous addition to your Christmas tree, a gift for a loved one and even the most amazing table decorations.

The set contains one each of the following decorations:

Blue Paua Tiki - 57mm long (2.24 inches), 28mm wide (1.10 inches) approx.
Red Paua Tiki - 57mm long (2.24 inches), 28mm wide (1.10 inches) approx.
Paua Gem - 48mm long (1.88 inches), 34mm wide (1.33 inches) approx.

Both the blue and red Tiki decorations are caste in chrome and inlaid with paua.

Tiki:
The Tiki represents the unborn child, combining the promise of new life with the spirits of its ancestors.  This Tiki was designed by Daniel Hobman, Daniel based the design on his own Tiki which was passed onto him by his grandmother.

Pāua Shell
Often called abalone, Pāua is unique to New Zealand. Pāua cling to rocks at depths of 1-10 meters and feed on seaweed.  The shell comprises layers of calcium carbonate.  Pāua can grow to a maximum of 20cm and reach harvestable size in 7-8 years.
