About Kathryn Furniss
Kathryn lives in Nelson, New Zealand, at the top of the south island. She lives with her husband where they raised their two sons. She was bought up by an artist father and she was encouraged to explore her natural creative abilities. She is a self taught artist and draws inspiration from pacific landscapes, objects and native birds. She works with acrylics and layers of colour and texture to give a feeling of depth. Kathryn has had numerous successful exhibitions throughout NZ and internationally.
