Tea Tree
Tea tree was originally used therapeutically by the New Zealand Maori. They mixed soothing compounds made from various parts of the tree. Modern research has now revealed tea-tree oil has powerful anti-microbial properties. Manuka oil products contain oil with the highest levels of anti-microbial activity, exclusive to the tea trees grown in the East Cape region of New Zealand.
