Set of Five Rimu Shadow Art Panels

A full set of five Rimu Shadow Panels. Each panel is perfect for hanging on the wall and features a New Zealand iconic shadow on a white background. The frame is New Zealand Rimu. The set consists of 5 designs - Frangi, Silver Fern, Toe Toe, Pacific Leaf & Tiki.
Each frame measures 95mm wide and 245mm long (3.75 x 9.65 inches).
Frangi - a beautiful tree from the sub tropics, the frangi is usually only found in the south pacific islands. It has a sweet fragrance and for this reason is often used as a perfume. The flower is frequently featured in pacific art works.
Silver Fern - The silver fern can be found in almost all native bush areas in New Zealand. The fern is a wonderful green lush leaf with a silver backing. The fern was first used by the All Blacks back in 1888 and since then has become the most recognised symbol of New Zealand.
Toe Toe - The toe toe is a tall grass, native to New Zealand, which represents the summer in New Zealand. It has feathery flowers which sway gently in the summer breeze.
Pacific Leaf - The pacific leaf is featured on many art works from the pacific islands, including tapa cloth. It is simple design which captures the freshness of the islands of the pacific.
Tiki - The origins of the tiki are many and no one origin can be proved, however it is usually carved from greenstone, but can also be carved from bone and paua. It is normally worn around the neck and one of the most common ideas is that it is a sign of fertility.
