Sushi Black Grooved Board with Chopsticks. Available in three sizes: Small, Large & X-Large. Made with native New Zealand Rimu. Comes with one set of black lacquer chopsticks.
This item is handcrafted in the West Coast of New Zealand and is made with re-cycled timber.

Care Instructions
This handcrafted item is made from wood - a living fibre. To care for it we suggest the following treatment:
Before using, lightly rub with soya bean oil.
To clean, wipe with a damp cloth or rinse in warm water - dry with a soft cloth, then re-oil with soya beal oil.
Never soak wooden objects in water or expose to strong sunlight for long periods.

Rimu
Rimu is found only in New Zealand. It is the genetic ancestral descendant of D.cupressium whose fossil pollen grains have been traced back 70 million years. Rimu is present in mature native forests of both the North and South Islands from 0-600m in elevation, forming the tall tree canopy (20-35m). It is generally 1-1.5m in diameter at its base and is easily recognisable by its weeping foliage.
Significant stands occur on the South Island's West Coast from Hokitika southwards. Rimu heartwood (heart Rimu) is one of the world's most beautifully grained timbers. It is very durable, being resistant to rot and insect attack.
