Nga kanohi o te Ra - Faces of the Sun Collection Kauri Coaster Set set of 4.
A four coaster set made from ancient Kauri, recovered from peat swamps, it is recognised as the oldest workable timber in the world. Each of the coasters is screen printed with a different contemporary Maori representation of "Nga kanohi o te Ra" (Faces of the Sun).
Each of the coasters measures 115mm across (4.5 inches) and come packaged in an attractive gift box with a meaning card.
Kauri
The Kauri tree, Agathis Australis, is New Zealand's largest and most famous native tree. It is a type of confir or pine tree which grows in the subtropical upper North Island. In times past large Kauri forests proliferated this region.
