Nga Toa - The Young Warriors Collection Kauri Coaster Set
A four coaster set made from ancient Kauri, recovered from peat swamps, it is recognised as the oldest workable timber in the world. Each of the coasters feature a young Maori warrior or Nga Toa. Each of the warriors has the sacred tattoo - Moko.
Each of the coasters measures 115mm across (4.5 inches) and come packaged in an attractive gift box with a meaning card.
Kauri
The Kauri tree, Agathis Australis, is New Zealand's largest and most famous native tree. It is a type of confir or pine tree which grows in the subtropical upper North Island. In times past large Kauri forests proliferated this region.
